Dani Arnold - first winter ascent of "Deep Blue Sea" in the Eiger North Face

Deep Blue Sea – this is the name of a steep and sparsely secured climbing route on the Geneva Pillar of the Eiger north face. Until now, the only successful ascents of this 320 meter route had been in summer – as even when the temperature hits 30 degrees in the valley, you still need to dress warmly for the route.
