Toketee Falls Backflip

31. 10. 2020

This is the first cliff jumping session Toketee Falls has ever seen as far as I know. We took a route that avoided all the turbulent hydraulics. A plan b would be to swim in the high velocity water, but it is extremely important to plan trajectories ahead and avoid being swept by the strong flow. It is recommended that experience class C canyoneers tackle this canyon. The first canyoneering descent was conducted on October 3, 2015 by Evan Topinka, Luca Chiarabini, Tiffanie Lin, Dan Kinler and Adam DiPietro. The final falls had been descended by whitewater kayakers multiple times in years before, but that was the first time the Toketee Falls gorge had been descended by canyoneers.
