Timing A Keramas Session - 4 February 2021

5. 2. 2021

The general rule of thumb for scoring Keramas is to time a session with an incoming tide. We've experienced this countless times, but every now and then it will throw a curve ball, like on the 4th of January. The early, out going tide actually produced the best waves of the day. Not only was it cleaner, but it was more consistent and had better shape compared to a few hours later when the tide switched. On top of all that, there were less people in the lineup since it wasn't the obvious option. Nine times out of ten it'll go the other way, but it's pretty sweet when things don't exactly go to plan in your favour.
